On May 20, 2024, Fuzhou Huayou Optical Instruments Co., Ltd. officially signed an industry-academia-research strategic cooperation agreement with the School of Optoelectronics and Information Engineering at Fuzhou University, jointly establishing the Precision Optical Instruments Joint Laboratory.
According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the following areas: joint research on key technologies for precision optical instruments; joint graduate training program; shared access to experimental equipment and research resources; and joint applications for national and provincial research projects.
Professor Wang, Vice Dean of the School, stated that Huayou Optics has rich experience in industrialization, while the university's research strengths form an excellent complement. The joint laboratory will effectively promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research in the optical instruments field.
Huayou Optics also announced the establishment of the Huayou Optics Scholarship, funding five outstanding optoelectronics students annually to complete their studies.
